Appointments
I offer in person sessions at my office in Eugene and online sessions via a secure video platform. Individual clients typically meet with me weekly at a designated time that we select together. Relationship/couples counseling sessions vary in frequency based on needs and scheduling. Most of the clients I work with are interested in establishing a longer-term therapeutic relationship. If you are in need of just a few sessions to get you through a tough time, I may not be the best fit for your needs.
I understand that there are a variety of considerations that inform availability, privacy concerns and comfort with where and how we meet. I invite any questions you may have about sessions and which way of meeting might be the right fit for you.
Session Fees
Session fees range from $150-$250 depending on session type and length. I am an in-network provider with most PacficSource plans. I can bill many other insurance plans as an out-of-network provider. I offer a cash discount to clients who are not covered by insurance and pay in full at time of service. I also accept cards for Flexible Spending and Heath Savings Accounts. I am unable to bill Medicare plans.
Office Sessions
Office visits are available to clients who prefer to meet in person. If you would like to meet at the office, I do ask that you be actively engaged in responsible illness preventions practices and inform me of any circumstances that may put you at high risk of exposure to covid-19.
While office visits do come with some risk of exposure to illness, I have implemented precautions to reduce those risks as much as possible. I have a large office that can accommodate six feet or more of physical distance and all surfaces you may come into contact with will be cleaned before your session. My office is also equipped with a medical grade air filtration unit for additional comfort.
Video Sessions
I offer online therapy to residents of Oregon and prefer you live within a 30 minute drive of Eugene. Sessions are scheduled in advance and are 50-55 minutes in length.
Online video sessions can be a safe and convenient way to connect with therapeutic support. Your privacy is important to me and you can expect the same level of confidentiality from online sessions as you would from office visits. While online therapy is an effective way to deliver therapeutic services, it is not a good fit for everyone, including people previously diagnosed with a severe mental health condition, those who are experiencing suicidality, or anyone in crisis. As a somatic therapist, I work with awareness of both mind and body. Online therapy may limit my ability to see or read your body or to offer certain interventions.
You will need a secure internet connection, a computer with a microphone and video capacity, or a smartphone. Generally, computers with WIFI or wired internet will offer the best connection with fewer technical glitches. You’ll want to set up your session in a quiet, well lit space where you can sit comfortably with minimal distraction.
